The Sun City Anthem story begins with the innovation and insight that was established back in 1960 when the first Del Webb community, Sun City, was introduced for active adults and retirement was redefined. Over 100,000 people visited on Grand Opening weekend, establishing a trend for the future success of Del Webb.
Soon, the Sun City concept expanded into other parts of the country and by 1993 Sun City communities existed across the country and hundreds of thousands of people were enjoying the renowned Del Webb lifestyle.
Here in Arizona, the Sun City brand continues to evolve with each new community, growing and changing to meet the wants and needs of today's active adults. Sun City Anthem provides the most recent evidence of the evolution of the Sun Cities.
